আশুরার রোজার ফজিলত সম্পর্কে রাসুল সঃ এর হাদিস থেকে দলিল সহ কিছু কথা তুলে ধরা হলো----------------------------
১)** আব্দুল্লাহ ইবনে আব্বাস (রা.) হতে বর্ণিত, তিনি বলেন; “আমি নবী করিম সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম কে রোজা রাখার জন্য এত অধিক আগ্রহী হতে দেখিনি যত দেখেছি এই আশুরার দিন এবং এই মাস অর্থাৎ রমজান মাসের রোজার প্রতি।”{বোখারি শরিফ: হাদিস নং ১৮৬৭}
On the authority of Abdullah Ibn Abbas (RA), he said; "I have never seen the Prophet, may God's prayers and peace be upon him, be more interested in fasting than he is in this day of Ashura and this month of Ramadan." {Bukhari Sharif: Hadith No. 1867}
২)** আব্দুল্লাহ ইবনে আব্বাস (রাঃ) থেকে বর্ণিত তিনি বলেন; “নবী করিম সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম যখন মদিনায় এলেন, তখন দেখলেন ইহুদিরা আশুরার দিন রোজা পালন করে।
তখন তিনি বললেন; কেন তোমরা রোজা রাখ এই দিনে ? তারা বলল; এটি আমাদের জন্য একটি উত্তম দিন। এদিনে আল্লাহ তাআলা বনি ইসরাঈলকে তাদের শত্রুর হাত থেকে মুক্ত করেছে। তাই মুসা আঃ এদিনে রোজা পালন করতেন। তখন রাসুল সঃ বললেন; তোমাদের চেয়ে আমি মুসা আঃ এর অধিক নিকটবর্তী। ফলে তিনি এ দিন রোজা রাখলেন এবং অন্যদেরকেও রোজা রাখার নির্দেশ দিলেন।”

On the authority of Abdullah Ibn Abbas (RA), he said; "When the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, came to Medina, he saw the Jews fasting on the day of Ashura.
Then he said; Why do you fast on this day? They said; It is a good day for us. On this day, Allah Ta'ala freed Bani Israel from their enemies. So Musa used to fast on this day. Then the Prophet said; I am closer to Musa than you. As a result, he fasted on this day and ordered others to fast as well.”

৩)** রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম ইরশাদ করেন: “আশুরার দিনের রোজার ব্যাপারে আমি আল্লাহর কাছে আশা করি, তিনি পূর্ববর্তী এক বছরের পাপ ক্ষমা করে দেবেন।”
{মুসলিম শরিফ: হাদিস নং ১৯৭৬}
The Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: "I hope that Allah will forgive the sins of the previous year regarding fasting on the day of Ashura."
{Muslim Sharif: Hadith No. 1976}
৪)** আবু কাতাদা (রা.) থেকে বর্ণিত, রাসুলুল্লাহ (সা.)-কে আশুরার রোজার ফজিলত সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞেস করা হলে তিনি বলেন, এই রোজা বিগত বছরের গুনাহ মুছে দেয়। {মুসলিম শরিফ: হাদিস নং ১১৬২}
Narrated by Abu Qatada (R.A.): When Rasulullah (S.A.W.) was asked about the virtues of fasting Ashura, he said, "This fast erases the sins of the previous year." {Muslim Sharif: Hadith No. 1162}
৫)** হযরত আলী (রা.)-কে এক ব্যক্তি প্রশ্ন করেছিল যে, রমজানের পর কোনো মাস রয়েছে কি ? যাতে আমাকে রোজা রাখার জন্য আদেশ করেন আপনি? তিনি বললেন, আল্লাহর রাসুল (সা.)-এর কাছে এই প্রশ্ন জনৈক সাহাবি করেছিলেন। আমি তখন তার খেদমতে উপস্থিত ছিলাম। রাসুল (সা.) উত্তরে বললেন, ‘রমজানের পর তুমি যদি রোজা রাখতে চাও তাহলে মহররম মাসে রাখো। কেননা, এটি আল্লাহর মাস। এ মাসে এমন একটি দিন রয়েছে, যে দিনে আল্লাহ তাআলা একটি জাতির তওবা কবুল করেছেন এবং ভবিষ্যতে অন্যান্য জাতির তওবা কবুল করবেন’। {তিরমিজি শরিফ : ১/১৫৭)
Hazrat Ali (RA) was asked by a person that there is any month after Ramadan? So you ordered me to fast? He said, A companion asked this question to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH). I was present at his service. The Prophet (PBUH) replied, "If you want to fast after Ramadan, then do it in the month of Muharram." Because this is the month of Allah. There is a day in this month on which Allah accepted the repentance of a nation and will accept the repentance of other nations in the future. (Tirmidhi Sharif: 1/157)
৬)** আবু হুরায়রা (রা.) থেকে বর্ণিত, রাসুলুল্লাহ (সা.) বলেন, 'রমজান মাসের রোজার পর সর্বোত্তম রোজা মহররম মাসে আশুরার রোজা।' {সুনানে কুবরা, হাদিস নং ৮৪২১০}
On the authority of Abu Hurairah (RA), Rasulullah (SAW) said, 'The best fast after the fast of Ramadan is the fast of Ashura in the month of Muharram.' (Sunan Kubra, Hadith: 84210)
কোন কোন দিন এবং কয়টি রোজা রাখতে হবে

১) আব্দুল্লাহ ইবনে আব্বাস (রা.) থেকে বর্ণিত, মহানবী (সা.) যখন আশুরার দিনে রোজা রাখেন এবং অন্যদেরকেও রোজা রাখার নির্দেশ প্রদান করেন, তখন সাহাবিরা অবাক হয়ে বলেন, হে আল্লাহর রাসুল সঃ! বিধর্মীরা তো এই দিনটিকে বড় দিন মনে করে। এই দিনে তারাও রোজা পালন করে। আমরা যদি এই দিনে রোজা রাখি তাহলে তো তাদের সঙ্গে সামঞ্জস্য হবে। তাদের প্রশ্নের জবাবে রাসুলুল্লাহ (সা.) বলেন (তারা যেহেতু এদিন একটি রোজা পালন করে), আগত বছর ১০ তারিখের সঙ্গে ৯ তারিখ মিলিয়ে দুই দিন রোজা পালন করব, ইনশাআল্লাহ। {মুসলিম শরিফ; হাদিস নং ১১৩৪}
Narrated by Abdullah Ibn Abbas (RA), when the Holy Prophet (SAW) fasted on the day of Ashura and ordered others to fast, the Companions were surprised and said, O Messenger of God! Gentiles consider this day as a great day. They also fast on this day. If we fast on this day then we will be in harmony with them. In response to their question, Rasulullah (SAW) said (since they observe a fast on this day), next year I will observe a two-day fast on the 10th and the 9th, Insha'Allah. {Muslim Sharif; Hadith No. 1134}
২) অন্য এক বর্ণনায় রাসুলুল্লাহ (সা.) ইরশাদ করেন, 'তোমরা আশুরার দিনে রোজা রাখো, তবে এ ক্ষেত্রে ইহুদিদের সঙ্গে মিল না হওয়ার জন্য ১০ তারিখের আগের দিন অথবা পরের দিন আরো একটি রোজা রেখে নিয়ো।' {মুসনাদে আহমদ বিন হাম্বল; হাদিস নং ২১৫৪}
In another narration, Rasulullah (s.a.w.) said, 'You fast on the day of Ashura, but in order not to be similar to the Jews in this matter, fast on the day before or the day after the 10th.' {Musnad Ahmad bin Hanbal; Hadith No. 2154}
আশুরার রোজায় গোনাহ মাফ হবে কি?

১) রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম ইরশাদ করেন: “আশুরার দিনের রোজার ব্যাপারে আমি আল্লাহর কাছে আশা করি, তিনি পূর্ববর্তী এক বছরের পাপ ক্ষমা করে দেবেন।”
{মুসলিম শরিফ: হাদিস নং ১৯৭৬}
The Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: "I hope that Allah will forgive the sins of the previous year regarding fasting on the day of Ashura."

আশুরার রোজায় তাওবা কবুল হবে?

১) হযরত আলী (রা.)-কে এক ব্যক্তি প্রশ্ন করেছিল যে, রমজানের পর কোনো মাস রয়েছে কি ? যাতে আমাকে রোজা রাখার জন্য আদেশ করেন আপনি? তিনি বললেন, আল্লাহর রাসুল (সা.)-এর কাছে এই প্রশ্ন জনৈক সাহাবি করেছিলেন। আমি তখন তার খেদমতে উপস্থিত ছিলাম। রাসুল (সা.) উত্তরে বললেন, ‘রমজানের পর তুমি যদি রোজা রাখতে চাও তাহলে মহররম মাসে রাখো। কেননা, এটি আল্লাহর মাস। এ মাসে এমন একটি দিন রয়েছে, যে দিনে আল্লাহ তাআলা একটি জাতির তওবা কবুল করেছেন এবং ভবিষ্যতে অন্যান্য জাতির তওবা কবুল করবেন’। {তিরমিজি শরিফ : ১/১৫৭)
Hazrat Ali (RA) was asked by a person that there is any month after Ramadan? So you ordered me to fast? He said, A companion asked this question to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH). I was present at his service. The Prophet (PBUH) replied, "If you want to fast after Ramadan, then do it in the month of Muharram." Because this is the month of Allah. There is a day in this month on which Allah accepted the repentance of a nation and will accept the repentance of other nations in the future. (Tirmidhi Sharif: 1/157)
আশুরার দিনে আনন্দ ্উৎসব করা কি ঠিক?

আশুরার দিন কিছু কিছু লোকেরা আনন্দ উৎসব এ লিপ্ত থাকে এ সম্বন্ধে ইবনু তাইমিয়া কে প্রশ্ন করা হল, এর কোনো ভিত্তি আছে কি না?
জবাবে তিনি বললেন, এসব আনন্দ উদযাপন প্রসঙ্গে রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম থেকে সহিহ কোনো হাদিস বর্ণিত হয়নি এবং সাহাবাদের থেকেও না। চার ইমামসহ নির্ভরযোগ্য কোনো আলেমও এসব কাজকে সমর্থন করেননি। কোনো মুহাদ্দিস এ ব্যাপারে রাসূলুল্লাহ ও সাহাবাদের থেকে কোনো সহিহ কিংবা জয়িফ হাদিসও বর্ণনা করেননি। তাবিয়ীদের থেকেও কোনো আছর পাওয়া যায়নি। পরবর্তী যুগে কেউ কেউ কিছু বানোয়াট ও জাল হাদিস বর্ণনা করেছে যা রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসালল্লামের প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ ব্যতীত আর কিছুই নয়। হাদিসটি হচ্ছে,
“ যে ব্যক্তি আশুরার দিন নিজ পরিবারের উপর উদার হাতে খরচ করবে আল্লাহ তাআলা সারা বছরের জন্য তাকে সচ্ছলতা দান করবেন। এ ধরণের সবগুলো বর্ণনা মিথ্যা ও জাল।”
Ibn Taymiyyah was asked about the fact that some people indulge in joyous celebrations on the day of Ashura, is there any basis for this?
In response, he said, "No authentic hadith has been narrated from the Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, regarding these joyous celebrations, nor from the Sahabah." None of the reliable scholars, including the four Imams, supported these actions. No Muhaddith has narrated any Sahih or Jaif Hadith from the Messenger of Allah and Companions in this regard. No evidence was found from the Tabiyids either. In the later ages, some have narrated some fabricated and fake hadiths which are nothing but falsehood against the Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace. The hadith is,
"Whoever spends the day of Ashura generously on his family, Allah will grant him prosperity for the whole year. All such narratives are false and fake.”
